As part of the Lawrence police department’s ongoing effort to better inform the community, the department is releasing the first of its kind annual report. In this report you will find a tremendous amount of information about the Lawrence police department, and the goals of the department going forward.

NECC Students Join Leadership Society

Seventy-eight Northern Essex Community College students were recently inducted into the college’s newly established chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS).

The NSLC is the largest leadership honors society in the United States, with 581 chapters nationally. There are currently 160 members of NECC’s NSLS chapter.

Lawrence farmers market expands as demand surges

LAWRENCE — A new state program that provides up to $80 a month in free food to poor families if they shop at farmers markets has tripled summer sales at the local market, causing the nonprofit that runs it to keep it open through the winter for the first time.
