Did you know that the more prepared you are, the less likely you are to need self-defense? When you can recognize and respond effectively to potentially dangerous situations, you are more confident in your everyday activities and are less likely to become a target of crime.
This training utilizes the RAD (Rape, Aggression, Defense), which is a comprehensive, women-only course. RAD is the nationally recognized standard in self-defense education for women. Since 1989, RAD training has been offered in communities, businesses and college campuses across the country.
The training is 12 hours total, but is broken up into 3 separate four-hour blocks. The sessions focus on awareness, risk reduction, and options for physical self-defense. The program concludes with a simulation exercise where participants are able to use the defensive skills they have learned and practiced.
