In honor of Black History Month, the Office of International and Multicultural Affairs is sponsoring an engaging community production that explores the intersection of seven different women's stories. The choreopoem, "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf " sheds light to themes of violence against women, racial injustice, empowerment, love, post traumatic syndrome, social-constraints, survival, resilience and much more. The production is an African tradition based artistic expression that combines poetry, dance, music and song followed by a facilitated discussion. This performance is specifically geared toward a mature audience. FREE and open to the public!
