Each year, LMCC Lawrence Methuen Community Coalition helps to organize Lawrence's local version of National Night Out (NNO).

A few of the Monday night demonstrations include: Jaws of Life, Swat Team, K-9 unit, State Police roll-over simulator, LFD smoke house. There will also be raffles and giveaways as well as food (for a nominal charge).

During this time of year, communities throughout the nation come together to mark National Night Out, a crime and drug prevention event. Last year in the US, over 37 million people participated in the event! The event is designed to: heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. It is an effective, inexpensive and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
