Description of Event:
The tour will explore several war memorials on Lawrence’s North Common, while looking at other historical markers. The Common is named for the Campagnone brothers, three Italian-Americans from Lawrence who were killed in World War II. The Common also has monuments to the events of 1912, when the great Lawrence textile strike, also known as the Bread and Roses Strike, took place; and to poet Robert Frost. About 1.5 miles on mostly level ground.
